Charge RN LTAC Texas Health Specialty – Full Time Nights

Here’s What You Need:

·      Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma of Nursing.

·      BSN preferred

·      1 year experience as a registered nurse in acute care setting required

·      2+ years experience as registered nurse in acute care setting preferred

·      TX Registered Nurse Upon Hire required

·      BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly.

·      ACLS – within 90 days of hire preferred

·      CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 Days preferred.

·      LTAC, Critical care or Progressive Care experience preferred

Here’s What You Will Do:

The Charge Nurse 

·      Will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team

·      Support and actively participate in shared governance/councils

·      Show commitment to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development.

·      Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

·      Directly assists leadership by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
