Texas Health is recruiting high-quality candidates to become certified pharmacy technicians through our Pharmacy Technician Apprentice Program.
Open to individuals with no prior experience, the program allows successful candidates to create a life-long career in pharmacy. You could be weeks away from a new career in Pharmacy!
Our innovative program includes:
- a daily schedule with online and onsite pharmacy training
- 130 hours of online training completed over an 8-week period
- access to experienced pharmacy technicians for guidance
We will reimburse the cost of:
- initial technician-in-training license registration
- fingerprint/background check
- online pharmacy technician courses
- certification exam
- registration as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Tech Apprenticeship Program start dates
Summer 2025 Cohort
Start date is September 8, 2025.
Positions will be posted on July 14, 2025.
Fall 2025 Cohort
Start date and positions to be announced later this year.
Winter 2026 Cohort
Start date and position details pending determination.
Upon successful completion of the program and online course, you’ll be eligible to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam. Once you pass the exam, you will transition to Pharmacy Technician and commit to work for Texas Health for at least 18 months.
