Work Hours: PRN, (as needed) Weekend; primarily weekends and may cover PTO and high census on weekdays

Here’s What You Need
· Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
· Master’s Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program required
· 2 years general surgery or surgical oncology experience as a nurse practitioner preferred
· RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
· APRN – Advanced Practice Nurse Upon Hire required
· NP – Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire required
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
· ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 30 Days preferred
Here’s What You Will Do
- Utilize principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic
- Use principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings
- Synthesize knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care
- Initiate actions to meet patients/families’ needs
- Take actions to reduce patients risks
- Perform specialty specific technical procedures safely and proficiently
- Produce documentation that initiates, follows, and revises patients’ plan of care
- Focus on adherence to clinical pathways, protocols, and policies to ensure high reliability of clinical program
- Promote population health through the evaluation of care delivery models as they pertain to community, environmental, cultural and socio-economical dimensions of health.
