- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Two years Medical Procedure Scheduling experience (required)
- Have the ability to effectively provide clear and effective communication to providers, vendors, patients, staff, and other contacts
- Provide positive, professional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors
- Be able to maintain patient confidentiality while handling all patient personal health information and records
- Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field
- demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, practice management software and provider scheduling system
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
- Be a team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Provider Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process
- Answering and processing out all hospital calls, ER calls, nurse calls from internal and external including hospital. Troubleshoot and correct routine day-to-day problems related to the hospital.
- Coordinate provider schedules, including time off and outreach rotations, to ensure appropriate coverage for all locations.
- Updates and maintains provider schedules in practice management software. Communicatees appropriate patient and provider information within the department and across the organization as deemed appropriate based on the patient and organizational needs.
- Coordinates and schedules & reschedule patient procedures in an efficient in a timely manner according to provider schedule via in person and over the phone. Processing all paperwork that pertains to scheduling the patient and documents in EPIC and notify case Representative if needed.
- Ensures high standards for customer service and resolves patient concerns and complaints.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
