Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Radiographer/NCT/CMA

 

Work location:  7715 San Jacinto – Suite 100   Plano, Texas 75024

Work environment:  Family Care

Work hours:  Full-time, 40 hours weekly; Monday thru Thursday (745am – 430pm), Fridays (745am – 3pm)

Here’s What You Need: 

·       High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)

·       Completion of an approved NCT Training Program (REQUIRED)

·       Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology (PREFERRED)

·       Two years of Orthopedic experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

·       One year Medical Assistant experience (REQUIRED)

·       NCT registered by the Texas Medical Board and CMA certification upon hire (REQUIRED)

 

What You Will Do:

·       Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protects patients, self and other staff from radiation hazards

·       Take X-Rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, which involves setting up and operating radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients

·       Select proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis and adjusts and sets radiologic controls

·       Perform quantity and quality control checks to assure X-Ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules and department policies

·       Obtain and record vital signs including, but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem
