Medical Laboratory Scientist – Full Time, Nights

Here’s What You Need:

Qualifications

Education

                   ·         Bachelor’s Degree in MT program or equivalent Science required

Experience

                   ·         2 Years Hospital Experience or Medical Laboratory preferred

Licenses and Certifications

                   ·         MLS – Medical Lab Scientist Certified by ASCP, AMT, HEW, HHS or NCA 6 Months required Or

                   ·         MT(ASCP) – Medical Technologist 6 Months required Or

                   ·         MT – Medical Technologist 6 Months required

What You Will Do:

                   ·         Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and test analysis.

                   ·         Adhere to laboratory quality control policies, document all quality control activities and corrective action.

                   ·         Adhere to all laboratory policies for established acceptability for proficiency testing, corrective actions and resolution of deficiencies.

                   ·         Communicates directly with clinicians regarding critical lab results and patient care.

                   ·         Operates, calibrates, and conducts performance checks on laboratory equipment in accordance with lab policies and vendor requirements.

                   ·         Demonstrates competency in all areas of the laboratory for which patient test reports are issued.

                   ·         Other duties as assigned
