We’re looking for qualified Registered Nurse like you to join our department in a Charge Nurse role

 

·        Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104

·        The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, has been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” and Maternal Level IV designated facility

 

Work hours: PRN, On an as needed basis, 6:30PM-7AM with weekend and holiday coverage

 

Maternal/Newborn, Couplet Care Department highlights:

·        Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

·        Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

·        27-bed Maternal/Newborn unit

·        Average between 275 to 300 deliveries per month

·        Utilize the following skills: Breastfeeding education/resources, responsible for both mom and baby (Couplet Care)

Here’s What You Need

·        Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma

·        Bachelor’s degree Nursing (BSN) preferred

·        One-year experience as a clinical nurse (RN) in an acute care setting required.

·        2-years’ experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred

·        2-years current Maternal/Newborn RN experience strongly preferred

·        BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

·        NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred

·        Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

·       The Charge Nurse 
will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team
support and actively participate in shared governance/councils
committed to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development.
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
