Work hours: Full time (40hours)

Here’s What You Need
Education
· Associate’s Degree Nursing Required
Experience
· 2 Years as a Registered Nurse in a hospital or home health care setting Required
License and Certifications
RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
What You Will Do
Business Development
· Primary goal is to build relationships with internal and external customers by face-to-face meetings and frequent contact with the purpose of identifying and facilitating the discharge of patients who are eligible for home infusion therapy.
· Marketing of traditional infusion on behalf of Texas Health Medical Support.
· Responsible for branding/marketing to all potential specialty home infusion customers.
· Qualify referral source opportunities.
· Payer knowledge and ability to navigate Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance plans to assist with the intake benefit and authorization process.
· Strategic planning experience and territory optimization execution.
· Participates in all activities related to customer pull-through, process improvement and ongoing communications related to managing and growing the business.
Patient Education
· Perform bedside and virtual patient education on IV therapy, ambulatory pumps, elastomeric devices and all details concerning what the patient should expect while on home infusion therapy.
· Provides both in-person and virtual education for the caregiver.
· Strong communication skills including the ability to explain complex procedures in a way that is understood by both patients and caregivers.
Supporting the Discharge Process
· Collaborate, coordinate and communicate with referral intake team to provide needed details related to a new patient referral and facilitate the patient’s seamless transition to home infusion services.
· Payer knowledge and ability to navigate Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance plans to assist with the intake benefit and authorization process.
· Follow up with all new referrals and patient care communications with the referral sources, physicians, and internal and external teams.
· Consistent communication and relationship building of Home Health partners to streamline the discharge process of each new patient transitioning to the home.
Staff Education
· Conducts in-services introducing services, therapies, drug detailing, and products to referral sources.
