Floor Technician

We’re looking for qualified Floor Technician like you to join our Texas Health family.

 

Work Location: Texas Health Arlington 800 W. Randol Mill Road in Arlington, TX 76012

Work Hours: Full-Time; Monday – Friday from 11:00pm to 7:30am with Rotating Weekends.

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of related experience with floor cleaning equipment in an institutional setting preferred.

Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills. Capable of working independently, setting priorities, and being flexible in assignments. Able to work around housekeeping chemicals. Full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Operates floor maintenance equipment, including but not limited to, floor polish/burnisher, high speed buffers, riding scrubbers or carpet cleaners/extractors to maintain floors and provide a clean, aesthetically pleasing environment.
  • Maintains equipment in good working order. Cleans and stores equipment properly after each use. Reports equipment that needs repair or broken immediately to supervisor.
  • Follows safety and infection control practices when: handling and disposing of regular and medical waste; practicing hand hygiene techniques; using standard isolation precautions.
  • Safely uses the proper equipment for each assignment. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies, according to procedure.
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to wall washing, cubical curtain changing, vent and light cleaning, furniture moves and set ups, collection and transportation of trash.
