Radiology Supervisor, Full time, Days

Here’s What You Need

Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology Required and
Associate’s Degree Preferred
3 Years registered radiographer experience Required and
Previous team lead or supervisory experience Preferred
ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon Hire Required And
CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire Required And
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

What You Will Do

Maintains department/employee records
Ensures that Standards of Practice, technical quality are maintained
Provides direct supervisory oversight to team leads and technologists (employed and contracted)
Assists with annual evaluations, coaching, mentoring, recruitment, retention, education and orientation
Manages the radiation dosimetry process for the facility

Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing
Oversees and assigns the Quality Control processes (KPI) in assigned area
Supervises the work and workflow of the technologists to include: Provides proper patient education Positions patient properly for diagnostic exams Adjusts technical factors to account for age-specific criteria Maintains aseptic technique Manipulates image parameters as needed to obtain high quality diagnostic images Sends images to PACS Ensures department procedures are followed
