Texas Health Plano’s Emergency Department is looking for a full-time Nursing Supervisor to join our team. The Emergency Nursing Supervisor position requires a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment

SCHEDULE: Full-time; 40 hrs/week; 7 PM – 7 AM, Night shift – 2 eight hour office shifts, and 2 twelve hour shifts per week with 6 weekend shifts/6 weeks. Weekends are required to be 12 hours.

With 52 beds and more than 41,000 patient-visits a year, the emergency room at Texas Health Plano is well-equipped and one of the largest in Collin County. Board-certified physicians and registered nurses provide personalized care for emergency room patients. Although wait-times vary depending on the seriousness of a patient’s condition, the hospital’s 30-Minute Promise alleviates the worry that comes with a long wait. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Associate degree Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
• BSN preferred.
• Two years’ experience as a clinical nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge Nurse, Committee chair, preceptor) required.
• One year of Emergency experience strongly preferred
• RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient
• RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 30 Days Required
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months required
• TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 12 months required
