Nutrition Educator – Part Time – Days

Here’s What You Need

Education
Bachelor’s Degree Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field Clinical nutrition, with a focus on disease management REQUIRED and
Master’s Degree Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field preferred

Experience
3 Years Working in a clinical or community resource setting REQUIRED and
2 Years Registered Dietician REQUIRED and
1 Year Diabetes Health Educator preferred

Licenses and Certifications
RDN – Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Upon Hire REQUIRED and
LD – Licensed Dietitian Upon Hire REQUIRED and
CPR – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation 90 Days REQUIRED and
CDE/CDCES – Certified Diabetes Educator/Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist 12 Months REQUIRED

Skills

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and educate patients

·         Proficiency in developing nutritional plans

·         Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting

·         Strong organizational and documentation skills

·         Ability to work effectively with an interpreter and adapt education material for different literacy levels

·         Knowledge of electronic medical records system

·         Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
