Texas Health Denton is a Joint Commission-accredited Primary (Level II) Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, a Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and a Magnet® designated hospital.
Our four-story specialty center for women and infants features 12 labor and delivery beds, 2 C-section suites along with 6 antepartum and 24 postpartum beds. Texas Health Denton is the city’s only provider of obstetrical and neonatal intensive care services and is the largest provider of obstetrical services in Denton County. The ground floor houses a breast imaging center, outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and an internal medicine residency program
Position Summary:
This role oversees the movement of patients, furniture/equipment, and other assets throughout the hospital to ensure consistency and timely service for our patients which reduces costs. It is also responsible for budgeting and managing all minor equipment for the entity including furniture and furniture replacement plans.
Job Duties
Manage the asset management team to include interviewing, hiring, performance management and preparation and presentation of employee evaluations. Oversees staff schedules and ensures proper coverage of the asset management department.
Reviews and prioritizes furniture/equipment requests across the hospital. Works closely with VP of Professional Svs. and facilities to create and implement furniture replacement plans and strategies house wide. Enters furniture/equipment orders in SCMIS and ECER systems.
Prepare operating and capital budgets for Asset Management department. Manage the approved budget and adjust strategies as needed to med budget expectations. Responsible for managing equipment/furniture budget.
Monitors Real Time Locating System (RLTS), Teletracking, and other systems associated with asset/equipment movement. Become super user for RTLS.
Champion process improvement efforts around our furniture and equipment assets including standardization of processes as well as leading cost saving efforts in the department and hospital.
Education
H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s Degree is preferred
Experience
1 year distribution experience in a supervisor role is required
Skills
Proactive problem solving; good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; advanced computer skills; time management and organizational skills
