CT Tech – Radiology Computed Tomography Technologist

DEPARTMENT: Radiology CT Scan
WORK HOURS: Full time for 36 hours a week. Thursday-Saturday 7p-7a. Includes holidays requirements

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Education:
· Other – Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or
· Associate degree preferred.
· Other – CLIAFE; Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
Experience:
· 1-year radiologic technician experience w/out ARRT – CT required or
· No experience w/ ARRT – CT
Licenses and Certifications:
· ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, R, upon hire required and
· ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic, CT, w/no radiology technician experience upon hire or
· ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, CT, w/1 year radiology technician experience within 12 months of hire and
· CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, either by TDH or TMB, upon hire and
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
SKILLS:
· Imaging Quality and Processing:
· Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam.
· Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
· Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
· Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
