Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Surgery Scheduling Specialist
 
Work location:  8440 Walnut Hill Lane, Building 4, Suite 610, Dallas, TX 75231
Work hours:  Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Travel:  25% to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)

Here’s What You Need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
  • 2 Years related experience in Healthcare environment (strongly preferred)
  • Medical Clinic Hospital Scheduling Procedures experience (strongly preferred)
  • Insurance Referral experience (strongly preferred)
  • Completing Insurance Appeals experience (strongly preferred)
  • Surgery scheduling for multiple cardiology providers
  • Medical knowledge, medication knowledge, prior surgery scheduling, and insurance knowledge requested for this position
  • Assist with insurance authorization and referral requests for procedures
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
  • Requires strong customer skills

  • A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
 
What You Will Do
  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process
  • Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician
  • Coordinates, registers and schedule appointments for patients according to availability
  • Conducts physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care, obtain referrals prior to procedures, and complete insurance appeals when required
  • Ensures all required tests needed prior to surgery are done
  • Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure
  • Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments
  • Communicates and answers patients’ questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure
  • Performs other duties as assigned
