- Previous Surgery/Procedure Scheduling within a Healthcare environment (strongly preferred)
- 2 Years related experience in Healthcare environment (preferred)

- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process
- Schedules all outpatient medical procedures, and motility studies ordered by the physician
- Conducts insurance verification to received current benefits including deductibles, co-insurance, out of pocket, and copay amounts
- Conducts physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for medical procedures and studies
- Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure
- Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments
- Performs other duties as assigned
