Here’s What You Need:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• 1 year of GI clinical or hospital experience preferred
• CNA – Certified Nurse Aide preferred upon hire or
• MA – Medical Assistant preferred upon hire or
• EMT – Emergency Medical Technician preferred upon hire and
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• Detailed oriented and good organizational skills
What You Will Do:
Assists physicians and nurses with GI procedures
Sets up endoscopic equipment including specific individualized equipment after assessment of patient.
Professional Accountability
Communicates with the manager or educator for unit if any delay or problems exist.
Teamwork/Partnership
Demonstrates teamwork and partnership in delivering care in the GI Lab.
Infection Control / Safety Measures
Follows all safety measures/infection control measures throughout duties assigned.
Operates automatic scope washers and understands the principles of high-level disinfection.
Age Specific/Developmental Guidelines
Performs duties using developmental considerations for age specific to GI Lab.
