Director Business Development and Marketing
Location – Texas Health Center for Diagnostics and Surgery, Plano, TX. The incumbent will office 20% remote. 80% will be at the office in Plano and visiting physician offices
Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery is an 18-bed physician-owned hospital serving the people of Collin, Dallas and Denton counties. The hospital is an award-winning facility that offers a wide range of services including robotic surgery, spine surgery, joint replacement surgery, orthopedic surgery, gynecological surgery, urological surgery, ENT surgery as well as spinal injections, outpatient GI procedures and advanced imaging studies.

Job Duties
Business Innovation and Development:
Works collaboratively and cross-functionally with hospital and physician leadership, program managers, and key clinical leadership and staff to develop innovative ideas, achieve and track goals, and develop strategic support that align shared interests of physicians and hospital.
Effectively communicates with hospital leadership and service line directors to prepare a multi-year Business Plan to foster continuous improvement in market, operational, and financial issues.
Participate in strategic planning activities with various stakeholders to ensure service lines’ business plan strategies are consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, values and goals.
Develops and maintains new and ongoing internal and external relationships, with physicians and managers to achieve service line reputation and growth.
Financial Operations:
Participate in developing analysis regarding the financial benefits of new business.
Through program development, integration, and marketing, increases revenues as measured by annual net operating revenues for all hospital services.
Program Integration and Operations:
Facilitates business development goals and tactics, including creating new ideas for special programs and projects.
Oversees the overall integration of the innovation for new programs, and growth opportunities for all THCDS service lines; stay abreast of industry trends.
Participates with hospital leadership and finance manager to prepare capital budgets for new services and programs.
Attends internal meetings, external meetings, and collaborates with hospital leadership to success for the service lines, as well as keeping hospital leadership knowledgeable regarding service line issues.
Strategic Development/Strategic Planning/Business Growth/Program Development/Service Line Management:
Develops, implements and manages growth plan for all service lines, including orthopedic, urology, spine, and OB/GYN.
Evaluates programs and strategic initiatives to ensure alignment to meet volume, financial, quality and service objectives.
Support initiatives to promote intra-system cooperation program growth, referral development, and business development, including without limitation, new marketing penetration growth strategies.
Plan, coordinate and implement community relations programs, services and events to support entities strategic initiatives.
Maintains effective relationships and communicates with city and county stakeholders, non-profits, and chambers of commerce.
Build public relationships, and act as a liaison to represent Texas Health Center for Diagnostics and Surgery (THCDS) in the community through board participation and attendance at community events and position THCDS as a corporate leader in the community.
Seek opportunities to promote and develop alignment with THR full-service hospitals to assure a strong market position for all service lines.
Work directly with Executive Leadership to develop strategic services using environmental/market/competitor assessments, internal and external data, and new market and service opportunities to promote business growth by increasing volumes and enhancing physician relations.
Responsible for all strategic physician recruitment within all service lines; promote and develop a strong market position for all service lines. Recruits new surgeons onto the medical staff and develop loyalty.
Collaborate with THR and THPG leadership to develop, implement and evaluate programs within service lines.
Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to identify and eliminate obstacles preventing service line growth, Foster a culture of continuous improvement and stay abreast of industry trends.
Collaborate with leadership to develop communication tools to keep key stakeholders apprised of strategic initiatives.
Develop services that differentiate and position THCDS favorably in the market. Develop and implement a robust communication strategy.
Develop hospital wide programs and build innovative ideas to promote THCDS.

Implements methods to evaluate patient/customer satisfaction and develops programs to enhance patient satisfaction through specific initiatives. Treats others as customers and fosters this philosophy throughout the organization.
Marketing
Develop and execute marketing plans for the facility including advertising, public relations, social media,
video production, photography, and budget management.
Develop internal and external communications in conjunction with hospital president, leadership team
and human resources.
Collaborate with THR brand management to develop hospital specific marketing materials.
Develop and maintain hospital website and intranet.
Develop advertising campaigns to support key hospital service lines.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related discipline required
Master’s Degree Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related discipline preferred
Experience
7 years business innovation and growth required. ****** Healthcare experience in the DFW market is highly preferred ********
Skills
Strong knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory and accreditation related
requirements. In-depth awareness of current trends related to the healthcare industry, especially trends related
to orthopedic services. Must be able to work with diverse health and administrative professionals. Excellent leadership and management
skills. Excellent written and verbal written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal facilitation and
team/consensus building skills. Effective presentation skills. Effective computer skills, including Excel, Word,
graphics, and clinical systems. Must have analytical and problem solving skills. Strong knowledge of orthopedics,
spine, gynecology.
