Registered Nurse RN OR Service Line Specialist Fulltime Days

Work location: Texas Health Southwest 6100 Harris Parkway TX 76132
Work hours: Fulltime 40 hours per week Day Shift, Call and some holidays are required.
Work Environment: Surgery
- OR Circulating – Collaborates with other team members (including anesthesiologist, surgeon, surgical technologist, etc) to ensure the safety of patients during the operation.
- Serves as clinical liaison to staff, surgeons and vendors. Promotes engagement through open lines of communication. Organizes face-to-face meetings as needed. Communicates products and services. Completes special projects and events as needed.
- Actively participates in training, orientation and mentoring of staff members while facilitating education on service line clinical, administrative, legal and financial requirements.
- Maintains par levels of special equipment and supply orders items specific to service line.
- Ensures that accurate and timely charges incorporated into service line surgeon preference cards.
- Works with clinical manager to coordinate capital and non-capital budget needs for service line.

Attends and participates in clinical facilitator meetings.
Education
Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or
Associate’s Degree Nursing Req Or
Bachelor’s Degree Nursing Pref
Experience
1 Year perioperative services and circulating and/or scrubbing experience Req and
1 Year OR specialty experience based on specific service line needs Pref
Licenses and Certifications
RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
