Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Full Time – Days

Work location: Texas Health Dallas – Hamon Tower 8200 Walnut Hill Ln. TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time| Days | 36 Hours Weekly| 7:00AM – 7:00PM

Here’s What You Need 

  • Other Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program is required
  • Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required 
  • 1 year experience required
  • 1 year Med/Surg or critical care experience preferred
  • RCP – Respiratory Care Practitioner required upon hire And
  • RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapist required upon hire And
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required And
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred upon hire
  • Good Verbal communications, good interpersonal skills, computer experience

What you will do: 

  • Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from the patient or family.
  • Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements.
  • Applies appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care.
  • Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age-specific needs.  
  • Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient’s age and desire for treatment.
  • Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
  • Prepare and distribute staff assignments.
  • Assure appropriate staffing for all shifts.
  • Acts as resource for therapists, interns, and support personnel in solving departmental issues.
  • Acts as preceptor in orientation/assessment of clinical competence with new hires.
  • Handle issues that arise during the shift such as quality issues, equipment, staffing needs or complaints.
  • Other duties as assigned.
