Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery (PRN/Days)

HERE’s WHAT YOU NEED: 

·         Diploma of Nursing OR associate degree in nursing required.

·         BSN preferred. 

·         CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required

·         One Year experience as a clinical nurse

·         Two years of Surgery/OR experience strongly preferred

·         RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

·         BCLS—Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon—prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

·         ACLS—Advanced Cardiac Life Support—within 90 days of hire required. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED DO:

·         Complete regular assessments and maintenance of comfort

·         Have knowledge of basic physiology and pathophysiology

·         Have knowledge of pain and suffering, pain interventions and pain comfort/theories.

·         Use barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations

·         Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record

·         Complete assessments accurately and in a timely manner

·         Individualize care plans specific to the needs of the patient

·         Perform other duties as assigned
