Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Provider Scheduling Specialist
 
Work location:   6300 West Parker Road, Suite 322, Plano, TX 75093
Work hours:  Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Here’s What You Need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Two years Medical Procedure Scheduling experience (required)
  • Have the ability to effectively provide clear and effective communication to providers, vendors, patients, staff, and other contacts
  • Provide positive, professional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors
  • Be able to maintain patient confidentiality while handling all patient personal health information and records
  • Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, practice management software and provider scheduling system
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
  • Be a team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
 
What You Will Do
  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Provider Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process
  • Coordinate provider schedules, including time off and outreach rotations, to ensure appropriate coverage for all locations.
  • Updates and maintains provider schedules in practice management software.
  • Reschedules patient appointments in a timely manner according to provider schedule changes.
  • Troubleshoots and corrects routine day-to-day problems related to the provider scheduling system.
  • Works collaboratively with IT as needed to fix problems outside of routine.
  • Utilizes reporting tools to update, maintain and process custom reports from provider scheduling software.
  • Collaborates with provider scheduling vendor to process requests for enhancements to the software.
  • Coordinates and schedules patient appointments and procedures in an efficient and timely manner in person and via phone, as needed.
  • Communicatees appropriate patient and provider information within the department and across the organization as deemed appropriate based on the patient and organizational needs.
  • Ensures high standards for customer service and resolves patient concerns and complaints.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
