HERE’s WHAT YOU NEED:
· Associates Degree in Applied Science required Or
· Completion of accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required Or
· High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required.
· 1 year of vascular or cardiac angiography preferred.
· ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire required And
· GMRT – General Medical Radiologic Technologist If ARRT Only Upon Hire preferred Or
· RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist required upon hire (ability to obtain within 6 month of hire if graduate from a Cardiovascular Accredited Program)
· LMRT – Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist If RCIS Only Upon Hire preferred And
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required..
WHAT YOU WILL NEED DO:
· Imaging Quality and Processing:
· Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam.
· Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
· Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
· Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS
· Only health care facility in Collin County to have achieved both Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal facility designation
· A Level II Trauma facility
· DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Program; also recognized by the American Heart Association with Gold Plus Target: Honor Roll elite status
· Accredited by The Joint Commission in Hip and Knee Replacement, and as a Primary Heart Attack Center
· The Cardiac Program has received the American Heart Association’s STEMI Receiving Center Gold Plus Award for two consecutive years, and the American College of Cardiology’s 2021 NCDR Platinum Performance Achievement Award for Chest Pain-MI Registry
· Bariatric Surgery Program is a Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP)
· Oncology Program is accredited through the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer
