Texas Health among ‘Best Employers’ in the state

Texas Health Resources has been recognized as one of America’s Best-In-State Employers for 2023, according to an analysis by Forbes and the marketing research firm Statista Inc.

Texas Health was ranked No. 24 in Texas, according to the list published Tuesday on Forbes.com.

“The commitment and compassion of our employees make Texas Health one of the best companies to work for in the great state of Texas,” said Barclay Berdan, FACHE, chief executive officer. “We are a group of diverse individuals working together to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve.”

The recognition is the result of an independent survey of employees from companies in various industry sectors that employ more than 500 people in the United States. A total of 1,392 organizations made the overall list and 86 companies made the Texas list based on the following criteria:

  • In-state indirect recommendations: Participants were prompted to evaluate employers in their state that stand out either positively or negatively.
  • National in-industry indirect recommendations: Participants were prompted to evaluate other employers (nationally) in their respective industries that stand out either positively or negatively.
  • Direct recommendations: Employees were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family.

Texas Health is creating a strong working environment for the more than 28,000 employees serving and caring for patients in a 16-county area of North Texas.

This focus on employee success and well-being has been recognized by several publications and organizations in 2023. Texas Health ranked No. 6 on the Fortune Best Workplaces in Texas™ list and No. 66 on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® list and was one of 50 companies nationwide honored with Business Group on Health’s Best Employers: Excellence in Health & Well-being Award, for its outstanding commitment to advancing employee well-being through comprehensive and innovative benefits and initiatives.
