If you receive an email that says it is from Texas Health Resources regarding a job opportunity for which you did not apply, please report it to us at abuse@texashealth.org.
Do not click any links or reply to the email, and most importantly, do not open any attachments to it.
If you have received a message offering an opportunity for employment, or an invitation for an interview, and that message is asking you to reply with your personal or financial information, you have been targeted as part of a “phishing” scam aimed at job seekers. Although the message may look as if it comes from Texas Health Resources, it does not and is designed to trick job seekers into divulging personal or financial information that then can be used to steal your identity or commit fraud.
Texas Health Resources takes the security and privacy of all job applicants very seriously. The following information is provided to help you learn how to distinguish “phishing” messages from legitimate outreach by Texas Health Resources and to protect the security of your computer system and personal information.
Texas Health Resources will never:
- * Ask you to reply to an email with personal or financial information
- * Ask you to pay any money in connection with a job opportunity
- * Conduct an interview with a potential employee via “instant message” or email
- * Use an email account in its job recruitment efforts that does not end with “@texashealth.org”
If you suspect you are a victim of fraudulent scam email messages, you can notify the Federal Trade Commission at spam@uce.gov, or Internet Crime Complaints can be filed at http://www.ic3.gov.
