Texas Health is excited to introduce our Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program with Texas Health Physician Group! Our “learn while you earn” program creates a pathway for employment directly into a healthcare career.
Medical Assistants fill an invaluable role in the delivery of healthcare services to our patients. As frontline caregivers, they partner with clinical professionals and are vitally important to the spectrum of care we provide with Texas Health Physician Group.
A little about the program:
- Learn while you earn in our 15-week program
- Complete 10 weeks of classroom work and 5 weeks of externship, plus skills/lab work
- Sit for the national certification exam
- Train full-time, Monday – Friday
- High school diploma required

Winter 2025 Cohort
Start date is January 13, 2025.

Summer 2025 Cohort
Start date is June 2, 2025.
Positions will be posted on April 7, 2025.
Fall 2025 Cohort
Start date is November 3, 2025.
Positions will be posted on September 8, 2025.
After successful completion of the program, new Medical Assistants will be moved into full time CMA positions within Texas Health Physician Group.
