Texas Health Specialty Hospital Fort Worth opened in 1989 as a separately licensed hospital on the campus of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. The hospital is a Pathway to Excellence® accredited facility that provides care for adult patients with medically complex conditions, including acute and chronic renal failure, prolonged respiratory illnesses, and advanced wound management requiring specialized intervention. We also safely accept patients transitioning from the intensive care unit.

Our 10-bed, long-term acute care hospital offers a supportive environment where clinical expertise is used to deliver individualized, holistic care to patients with intensive nursing needs. With a low nurse-to-patient ratio, we’re able to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes during our average 25-day length of stay.
