Registered Nurse (RN) PRN – Vascular Access

Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road TX.

Work hours: PRN – Day Shift; 7:00am – 7:00 pm

Here’s What You Need

·         Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required

·         BSN preferred

·         1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting (Required)

·         Previous Vascular Access Team (VAT) experience (Strongly Preferred)

·         RN – Registered Nurse (Required upon hire)

·         BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required prior to providing independent patient care; maintained quarterly)

·         Current proficiency with ultrasound guided IV insertion, midline placement, and/or PICC placement

·         Experience providing vascular access services across multiple patient care settings

 

 

What You Will Do

·         Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

·         Assesses the patient

·         Plans the care of the patient

·         Intervenes as appropriate

·         Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

·         Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

·         Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information

·         Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
