Nursing Supervisor (Full Time Days) – Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) / Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Work Hours: Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Schedule includes two 12‑hour shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) and two 8‑hour shifts. Weekends and holidays required.

Texas Health Allen is a leading provider of high‑quality, patient‑centered care for the surrounding community. Our 12‑bed Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit delivers critical and progressive care to a diverse patient population, supported by a flexible 3:1 or 4:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio based on acuity.
Our 8‑bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) cares for the community’s most critically ill patients. Through our intensivist program, board‑certified critical care physicians oversee ICU care throughout the day, ensuring expert clinical guidance. They are supported by highly trained critical care nurses and nurse practitioners, who provide continuous, around‑the‑clock coverage.

What you need:
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
• 2-year experience as a clinical nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge Nurse, committee chair, preceptor) required
• 2-year experience in the PCU Department setting strongly preferred
What you will do:
• Provides bedside leadership and clinical expertise to improve quality of patient care in the IMC and ICU
• Responsible for assisting the manager/director with human resource management to include Evaluations, coaching, mentoring, recruitment, retention, education and orientation.
• Works with manager/director to control costs and manage department budget and productivity.
• Fosters an environment to promote patient and family centered care through purposeful hourly rounding, bedside shift report, updated care boards, and leader rounds.
• Collaborates with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to promote safe individualized care as well as promoting accountability in enhancing the patient experience.
• Assimilates leadership responsibilities on the unit and throughout the entity and/or system.
• Commits to autonomous maintenance and continuous improvement of competence and serves as a role model to other healthcare team members
