Start Date: September 8th, 2025, 8-week commitment
Work hours: Full Time (40hours), Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM

 

Upon successful completion of the program, the Trainee will transition into a Pharmacy Technician role working days, evenings or nights with rotating weekends and holidays

Pre-hire Fees for the Program:

·       Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Trainee Registration Fee: $55

·       Fingerprint Fee: $50

Post Hire Fees:

·       Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam Fee: $129

·       Upgrade from Pharmacy Tech Trainee to Pharmacy Tech with TSBP Fee: $84

Here’s What You Need:

·       High School Diploma or Equivalent required

·       No experience is required

·       Pharmacy Technician Trainee through Texas State Board (required)

·       RPhT – Registered Pharmacy Technician within 6 months (required)

·       Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computer, and basic math

Here’s What You Will Do:

·       Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location.

·       Ensuring accuracy of one’s own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards, programs, and initiatives.

·       Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time.

·       Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel.

·       Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.

·       Other duties as assigned
