Texas Health Denton is a Joint Commission-accredited Primary (Level II) Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, a Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and a Magnet® designated hospital. 

Our four-story specialty center for women and infants features 12 labor and delivery beds, 2 C-section suites along with 6 antepartum and 24 postpartum beds. Texas Health Denton is the city’s only provider of obstetrical and neonatal intensive care services and is the largest provider of obstetrical services in Denton County. The ground floor houses a breast imaging center, outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and an internal medicine residency program. 

The Program Manager / EMS Outreach will be engaged in outreach for the Emergency Department and act as hospital ER liaison to Emergency Medical Services.   

The successful candidate will have the ability to establish and maintain excellent communications and relationships with Emergency Department and hospital staff, first responders, and executive leadership teams.  The successful candidate will have progressive leadership experience, strong liaison experience and the ability to develop and implement strategically focused initiatives to support growth of Emergency Services.  

What You’ll Need

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent with 9+ years’ combined experience in emergency medical services, pre-hospital emergency medicine or other clinically related discipline required if not an RN.
  • EMS Outreach or EMS Instructor experience is helpful.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years recent experience in emergency medical services, pre-hospital emergency medicine or other clinically related discipline required for an RN.
  • Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic, EMT;  Licensed Paramedic, LP or Registered Nurse, RN; is required upon hire. 
  • Progressive leadership experience in an Emergency Department is highly preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS through American Heart Association upon hire preferred.

  • Computer skills in Word, Excel and EPIC are helpful.

 

What You’ll Do

The successful candidate will develop and implement strategically focused initiatives to support growth of Emergency Services.  Serve as a liaison with other emergency medical service providers and governing agencies ensuring compliance and identify performance improvement metrics. 

Serve as entity representative for Regional and Statewide EMS meetings, conferences and seminars.  

The successful candidate in this Program Manager role will review and evaluate current and future EMS issues and trends to ensure that emergency medical services reflect clinical best practices and evidence- based care as well as the most current technology and service delivery alternatives. 

Manage EMS Financial Operations/Budget and participate in hospital initiatives (i.e. hospital committees, fund raising events, community and educational events).
