Telemetry Monitor Technician– Telemetry Department

Work location: Texas Health Kaufman – 850 Ed Hall Dr, Kaufman, TX 75142
Work hours: PRN- Days. Availability within 7:00Am – 7:00Pm rotating Friday and Saturday every other week.

Here’s What You Need

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
  • Basic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology

What You Will Do

  • Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
  • Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
  • Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.
  • Serves as a patient advocate.
  • Uses Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers, and all other disciplines.
  • Practices acceptable use of interpersonal relationship skills with patients, families, co- workers, physicians, all disciplines, and other customers.
