Work location: Texas Health Arlington: 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, TX 76012

Work hours:Part Time; 24 hours; 3 x 8 hour shift. 7:30a-4pm; rotating call

Here’s What You Need

Education

·        Nursing Diploma required Or

·        Associate’s Degree Nursing required Or

·        Bachelor’s Degree Nursing preferred

Experience

· 2 years IR experience strongly preferred and/or 2 years ICU/ED strongly preferred if without IR experience.

Licenses and Certifications

·        RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required And

·        BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required And

·        ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required And

·        NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 30 days required And

·        CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required

What You Will Do

•   Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process 
•   Assesses the patient 
•   Plans the care of the patient 
•   Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions 
•   Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care 
•   Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information 
•   Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, while expediting out of hospital transfers
