Work hours: PRN (Day Shift) – As Needed

Here’s What You Need

·         High School Diploma or equivalent

·         1 Year of GI clinical or hospital experience strongly preferred

·         ProVation documentation/reporting system experience preferred

·         One of the following certifications preferred:

o   CNA (Certified Nurse Aide)

o   MA (Medical Assistant)

o   EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)

·         BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req

 

What You Will Do

  • Assists physicians and nurses with GI procedures
  • Sets up endoscopic equipment including specific individualized equipment after assessment of patient.
  • Assists physicians and RNs throughout procedures
  • Handles instrumentation from basic to complex procedures.
  • Takes actions to reduce or eliminate patient risk

As an Accredited Chest Pain Center and STEMI-receiving facility, over 500 physicians practice across more than 25 specialties at our hospital.

Texas Health Allen holds multiple certifications, including Joint Commission Gold Seal Certification as a Chest Pain facility, Level II Maternal and NICU designations, and recognition as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. The hospital also earned Pathways to Excellence designation and Joint Commission Acute Heart Attack Ready (AHAR) Disease-Specific Certification.
