Work hours: Full Time Days 36 hours a week Day shift, alternating weekends

Here’s What You Need
- Other Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program is required
- 6 Months in an acute care hospital setting or completion of THR residency program is required
- LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire is required And
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required And
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days is required
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
- Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information.
- Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks.
- Collects data and reports significant findings to RN.
- Identifies realistic and measurable annual goals for professional nursing development.
- Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Assists in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and takes action to improve those processes.

Texas Health Southlake has served the community and surrounding areas of Grapevine, Colleyville, Trophy Club, Westlake, and Roanoke since opening in 2004. As Southlake’s first hospital, our multi-specialty surgical facility features 18 surgical specialties with 17 inpatient suites, six observation suites, six operating rooms, and a 24/7 emergency department serving northeast Tarrant County.
We provide care in bariatrics, cardiology, colorectal surgery, ENT, general surgery, internal and family medicine, spine surgery, orthopedics, imaging services, and emergency care. Our spine surgery program performs more than 300 procedures annually, supported by pain management and physical therapy services at three locations.
Texas Health Southlake holds The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery. We received U.S. News and World Report’s High Performing Hospital Award (2022-2023) for spinal fusion, hip fracture, and hip replacement procedures, and a 5-star rating from Becker’s Hospital Review, one of only 18 hospitals in Texas with this distinction.
