Trauma Registrar

Here’s What You Need

·       High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

·       One year experience with chart auditing, quality improvement, data entry required.

·       Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management or related field  preferred.

·       One year experience with Medical Records preferred.

·       ICD-10 coding experience preferred.

·       RHIT certification preferred.

What You Will Do

·       Analyze medical records daily to determine trauma registry eligibility.

·       Maintain and organize trauma registry data for coding and abstraction.

·       Perform queries and generate reports from the trauma registry database.

·       Collect patient care data and report significant findings to Trauma Program leadership.

·       Monitor trauma patient records for quality improvement indicators.

·       Integrate ACS guidelines into trauma patient care processes.

·       Support coordination of care across injury prevention, pre-hospital, acute, emergent, and rehabilitation phases.
