Work location:  2665 Scripture Street, Denton, TX 76201 

Work hours:  Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 7:30a – 4:30p

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)

  • 2 Years related experience in Healthcare environment (preferred)

  • Knowledge of Insurance Verifications & Prior Authorizations (strongly preferred)

  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

  • Requires strong customer skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

  • A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Do

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process

  • Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician

  • Coordinates, registers and schedule appointments for patients according to availability

  • Conducts physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care

  • Ensures all required tests needed prior to surgery are done

  • Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure

  • Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments

  • Communicates and answers patients’ questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure

  • Performs other duties as assigned
