The VP Business Development & Growth, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Growth, is responsible for facilitating the provider development growth strategies of Texas Health Resources.
Responsibilities include identifying and implementing effective and accretive system engagement efforts with community physicians which are both sustainable and aligned with current and future market growth plans. Business development activities will be grounded in business analytics, data, and predictive modeling and implementation will require a heavy focus on relationship building aptitude and project management.
The position works closely with THR hospital channel leaders, THPG, the SWHR network and various other THR joint venture members, fostering partnerships and synergy to develop, implement and execute growth strategies which improve operational performance, create new revenue opportunity, enhance consumer access to THR’s network, and/or increase market share. This position will work closely with THR’s Strategy and Market Development Team, finance, system shared services departments, and channel leaders to lead and implement provider growth tactics as outlined in the THR growth plan. This position will continue to innovate, build, and deploy new alignment models for approval and adoption.
Essential Functions:
· Explores options to expand services and to continually improve the business performance of service lines and various entities. Works to build consensus in support of strategies and plans and executes decisions in a timely manner.
· As part of provider workforce growth both in market and as part of in migration strategies, participates in the negotiation and execution of appropriate agreements and documents establishing clinical affiliation, service level agreements, acquisition agreements, and other related documents.
· Provide clear expectations and communication to key stakeholders of prioritization and execution strategies for service line and clinical practice affiliation strategies in support of the system growth strategies.
· Continually research and aim to innovate, partner, and align by incorporating best practices into business development and new business structures.
· Identify and develop innovative ways to grow business, service lines and clinical programs development, platforms, and partnerships consistent with the mission.
· Proactively anticipate and address risks associated with high priority strategic opportunities and potential acquisitions and partnerships.
· Prioritize and execute physician strategies to drive business growth; operationalize and align the growth thru and with various physician alignment strategies.
· Research and assess local, regional, and national market development strategies, industry trends, and potential competitive and regulatory risk factors.
· Assess, analyze, and utilize market level data and intel including demographic shifts, business growth, and competitive issues.
· Implements strategies to enable business development to augment the delivery of new operating models by establishing best practices across North Texas and outside DFW.
· Collects and analyzes due diligence for potential acquisition and alignment targets, works with internal and third parties as necessary to provide assessment, valuations, and opinions, and presents facts and projections to executive leaders for review and consideration.
· Participates in early-stage onboarding efforts with alignment partners and facilitates hand-off to operational team going forward.

Background, Qualifications and Experience:
· Master’s degree in business related field, Healthcare or Public Health preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in business related field, Healthcare or Public Health required.
· 10 years’ progressive experience in healthcare field required.
