Nuclear Medicine Tech – Radiology Diagnostics Department

Work location: Texas Health Frisco
Work hours: PRN, as needed for open availability. Work hours are generally shifts working Monday through Friday with occasional on call. Must be within an hour of facility.

Here’s What You Need 
  • Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine is required Or
  • Associate’s Degree is preferred
  • 2 Years in nuclear medicine is highly preferred
  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Medicine Upon Hire is required Or
  • CNMT – Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist NMTCB Upon Hire is required And
  • CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB Upon Hire is required And
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required 
  • Communication, computer, venipuncture
What You Will Do 
  • Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam
  • Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed 8. Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS
  • Uses multidisciplinary, team oriented actions 
  • Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures
  • Operates, cares for and maintains equipment 
  • Exchanges and maintenance of film badges within designated time frames 
  • Utilizes ADKAR and CLAK during times of change
