Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Emergency Department (ED) (Full Time/Evenings)

Here’s What You Need:

·       Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program required

·       6 months in an acute care hospital setting or completion of THR residency program required

·       LVN – Licensed Vocational Nursing upon hire required and

·       BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and

·       NRP – Essential Neonatal resuscitation Program within 90 days required and

·       CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days required

·       A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:

·       Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.

·       Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks.

·       Collects data and reports significant findings to RN.

·       Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines.

·       Uses nursing models to obtain adequate data to initiate, implement, and revise plans of care to meet patient, physician, and family needs.
