Work location: Texas Health Flower Mound, 4400 Long Prairie Rd., Flower Mound, TX 75028

Work hours: Full-Time, 40 hours weekly, Weekdays and Weekends, Sunday – 5:00am – 7:30pm; Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 3:00pm – 8:00pm; Saturday 5:00am-7:30pm

Here’s What You Need

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Pref
  • Cooking experience highly preferred
  • 4 years relevant experience in high volume restaurant, hospital, hotel, country club or Institution Req
  • FHC – Food Handlers Certificate 30 Days Req

 

What You Will Do

  • Produces high quality products; utilizes creativity and training in producing food items that are aesthetically pleasing and taste appealing. Follows department standards of food quality and recipe taste.
  • Observes food preparation and tastes prepared food to verify flavor and texture standards. Required to taste food prepared by other cooks.
  •  Demonstrates creativity in food presentation in both bulk service and individual plating.
  • Organizes work for maximum productivity; accurately follows and understands production sheets, and avoid over production
  • Consult on special meals, events, and menus. Assist in menu choices, and recipe development utilizing cost analysis
  • Make recipe or menu changes so that foods will be utilized before expiration date. 20%
  • In the absence of Production Supervisor or Food Service Director/Manager, plan menu substitutions and supervise in designated areas.
