• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or relevant field required
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or relevant field preferred
• 3 years’ experience in project management, program coordination, community relations, philanthropy or related field. Experience in Employee Relations or in Human Resources required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• PHR – Professional in Human Resources upon hire required OR
• SPHR – Senior Professional in Human Resources upon hire required OR
• SHRM-CP – SHRM Certified Professional within 12 months of hire required OR
• SHRM-SCP – SHRM Senior Certified Professional within 12 months of hire required OR
• Other – Another nationally recognized HR certification upon hire required
What You Will Do
The People & Culture Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and welcoming environment at Texas Health. Collaborating closely with the People & Culture team, this position is responsible for coordinating initiatives that drive excellence through community volunteer and Culture & Connection programs. Key deliverables include overseeing the Community Time Off program (CTO), and partnering with various multidisciplinary teams across People & Culture to enhance initiatives enabling individuals to do their life’s best work and gain operational efficiency.
• Program coordination: Provide administrative support for the CTO program, which includes posting volunteer opportunities on the program website, recruiting volunteers, coordinating logistics for volunteer projects, and ensuring compliance with program policy and guidelines. In addition, incumbent will be responsible for coordinating annual Community Service Awards and will serve as a subject matter expert to support Texas Health employees and leaders.
• Communications: Work in collaboration with leadership and the Brand team to design and implement promotional activities aimed at increasing the visibility and engagement of the CTO program.
• Networking & Collaboration: Build and sustain relationships with community organizations and other stakeholders to create impactful volunteer opportunities. Serve as a liaison between community partners and leadership to ensure alignment with Texas Health’s strategic objectives.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collaborate with Data Analytics team to monitor volunteer hours and program participation rates. Analyze data to evaluate the program’s impact and identify areas of opportunity.
• Project Lead: Participate in and lead People & Culture project teams as assigned, with a focus on unifying teams and enhancing company culture.
• Support: Collaborate in various initiatives and projects to support Culture and Connection Teams as needed.
• The incumbent will be expected to apply a variety of communication methods including but not limited to conflict resolution skills, utilize change management principles, project management skills, and applicable regulations and employment laws.
