RN Operating Room Service Line Specialist II (Full Time-Days)-Surgery

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
Work hours: Full Time- 40 Hours; Days Monday-Friday 0630-1500
Surgery highlights:
· Texas Health Dallas has 24 Main OR Suites, 2 Endovascular rooms, 3 Robot rooms, 2 Heart rooms.
· Fast Paced, High Volume of Open Vascular, Endo Vascular, and Hearts
· Level I Trauma facility. Strong Minimally Invasive CV program
Here’s What You Need
· Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
· BSN (Preferred)
· 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
· 1 Year OR specialty experience based on specific service line needs (Preferred)
· CNOR Certification (Preferred)
· Active membership in the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) (Preferred)
· Experience in clinical education, staff development, or a related teaching background
· In-depth understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in Level I/II Trauma Center environment
· RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)
What You Will Do
· OR Circulating – Collaborates with other team members (including anesthesiologist, surgeon, surgical technologist, etc) to ensure the safety of patients during the operation.
· Serves as clinical liaison to staff, surgeons and vendors. Promotes engagement through open lines of communication. Organizes face-to-face meetings as needed. Communicates products and services. Completes special projects and events as needed.
· Actively participates in training, orientation and mentoring of staff members while facilitating education on service line clinical, administrative, legal and financial requirements.
· Maintains par levels of special equipment and supply orders items specific to service line.
· Ensures that accurate and timely charges incorporated into service line surgeon preference cards.
· Works with clinical manager to coordinate capital and non-capital budget needs for service line.
· Attends and participates in clinical facilitator meetings.
