Here’s What You Need

Education
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required).
Bachelor’s Degree BSN is preferred.
Master’s Degree in a health-related field is preferred.

Experience
Three (3) years of RN clinical experience in acute care setting is required.
One (1) Year of experience in healthcare quality/performance improvement is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications
TX RN – Registered Nurse is required upon hire.
CPHQ – Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality is preferred.

Skills for Success

  • Computer software skills including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner with various audiences. Understand and appreciate the sensitive and confidential nature of quality, safety, and performance improvement activities.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS standards, Performance Improvement tools, and data collection and analysis. 

 

What You Will Do

Serving in the role of Registered Nurse Quality Improvement Coordinator your work would support Texas Health’s commitment to continuous improvement in quality outcomes, accountability, safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and competencies including data analysis, using performance and process improvement methodology and tools, a working knowledge of patient safety and high reliability organization principles, healthcare regulatory standard, and practice standards.
