Work location: 4400 Long Prairie Road, Flower Mound, Texas 75028
Work hours: PRN- Must be available for 1 full weekend a month at minimum.

Here’s What You Need 

  • Master’s Degree Speech Language Pathology is required Or
  • Other Post-Baccalaureate degree recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is required
  • SLP – Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire is required Or
  • SLP-I – Speech Language Pathology Intern Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire is required 
  • SLP – Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire is preferred And
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Problem solving ability; Ability to teach others; Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills

 
What You Will Do 

  • Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care
  • Obtains/verifies physician order for therapy and validates for appropriateness
  • Reviews available medical records and obtains pertinent medical history from patient or family
  • Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis appropriate assessment tests and measurements, including appropriate outcome assessment tool(s)
  • As required, participates appropriately in departmental safety drills / emergency procedures 
  • Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines
