WORK LOCATION:  The address is 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093
WORK SCHEDULE:   PRN Days; Some weekend coverage.
 
CARDIOVASCULAR PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

•    Growing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical programs
•    Primary Heart Attack Center 
•    TAVR Program (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) and growing Structural Heart program overall.
•    Vision to continue growth and development of our high acuity capabilities to care for all patients.
•    Looking to utilize this position to focus on outpatient Heart Failure patient follow up 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

•    BSN, Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program Required. 
•    MSN, Master’s Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program Required
•    RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
•    APRN – Advanced Practice Nurse Upon Hire Required
•    NP – Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required 
•    2 (Two) Years experience as a Nurse Practitioner
•    One (1) Years cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery patient experience strongly preferred
•    BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon—prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly 
•    ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support –Within 30 days of hire preferred

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:

•    Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions. 
•    Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings.
•    Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients. 
•    Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care
•    Initiates actions to meet patients/families
