Emergency Administration Highlights:
Over the past year, our hospital has experience significant growth in our Emergency Department! We are proud to serve approximately 15 EMS stations throughout Colling County. As we continue to grow, it is imperative that our EMS program evolves along side these trends. Our emergency Department is focusing on enhancing our services and training to meet the needs of the patients in our community as part of our pledge to our EMS partners.
· Emergency Department Volume:
o In 2024, Our Emergency Department handled a volume of 25,387 visits, representing an 8.07% increase from the previous year.
· EMS Volume:
o Our total volume of EMS patients was 4,781 representing a 6.96% increase from the previous year.
Here’s What You Need:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent with 9 years of experience in emergency medical services; pre-hospital emergency medicine or other clinically related discipline require or
· Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of recent experience in emergency medical services, pre-hospital emergency medicine or other clinically related discipline required
· 5 years of recent experience as an EMT, Fire Medic, or Fire Fighter strongly preferred
· Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and professionally across disciplines and with a variety of distinct constituents, including patients, guest, staff members, physicians, and volunteers.
What You Will Do:
· Under general direction, plans, develops, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates technical and administrative aspects of emergency medical services activities.
· Collaborate with department and entity leaders to design and implement EMS initiatives and market differentiators that are in alignment with strategic plan.
· Develop curriculum, market event and maintain required training records and/or rosters.
· Reviews and evaluates current and future EMS issues and trends to ensure that emergency medical services reflect clinical best practices and evidence-based care as well as the most current technology and service delivery alternatives.
· Works as a Department and Entity resource/expert in the field of EMS.
· Identify opportunities for improvement in medical response, patient/employee safety, supplies, equipment and new practice methodologies.
· Explains variances for operational and capital budgets implement effective action plans to address variances and adjust strategies as needed to meet budgetary expectations.
