Work location: Texas Health Frisco 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX, 75033

Work hours:  Fulltime Days: Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm for 40 hours/ wk. Must be available for 1 week of system training at 612 E Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011 

Trauma Department highlights:

  • In Active Pursuit of Level III Trauma Designation
  • Over 500 patients tracked annually in the trauma registry

Here’s What You Need

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required And
  • Associate’s Degree Health Information or related field Preferred And
  • ATS or equivalent Trauma Registrar Course Preferred And
  • AAAM injury coding course Preferred
  • 1 Year Experience with chart auditing, quality improvement, data entry Required and
  • 1 Year Medical records experience Preferred
  • Other Trauma Registrar Certification Upon Hire Preferred
  • Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and familiarity with statistics with the ability to analyze and draw inferences from statistical data.
  • Positive interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency with computers and understanding of medical terminology.
  • Ability to use resources of other institutions and physician offices to obtain/analyze trauma related data.

  • Provides quality, safe patient care and exceptional customer service.
  • Contributes to creating and maintaining a collaborative work environment.
  • Provides quality, patient-centered care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient and equitable.
  • Establishes collegial relationships with physicians.
  • Provides safe patient care at affordable costs delivered by compassionate caregivers.
  • Identifies ineffective and costly processes and takes action to improve those processes.
  • Helps to coordinate care across a broader continuum of patient care including injury prevention, pre-hospital, acute, emergent, and rehabilitation.
