Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093

Work hours: Full Time Days (7A-7P) for 40 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements

Here’s What You Need:

·        Associate’s Degree in Nursing Required

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred

·        2 years of experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge Nurse, committee chair, preceptor required

·        RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required and

·        BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and

·        ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required and

·        PALS – Pediatric Advance Life Support within in 90 days required

·        A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment 

What You Will Do:

·        Creates shift assignments, initially and throughout the shift reflecting consideration of the nurse’s skill level and patient’s needs

·        Effectively evaluate the care of each shift, on every patient to ensure the patient’s needs are being addressed to ensure a high-quality experience

·        Advocate for patients and families to ensure they have a voice in their care decisions

·        Actively promotes unit-based council/committee structure and networks with peers to share ideas and conduct mutual problem solving.

·        Participates in huddles, meetings, daily care briefings with other members of the health care team to facilitate patient flow and optimum utilization of resources.

·        Collaborates with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to promote safe individualized care as well as promoting accountability in enhancing the patient experience.

·        Demonstrates accountability and responsibility by independently completing projects/assignments on time.
