Work hours: Full-time, 36-hours weekly

Our dedicated and progressive team in our Cath Lab department cares for adult patients with Cardiac, Peripheral Vascular or Electrophysiology related disease. We are open Monday-Friday and our lab includes nine bays and two procedure rooms averaging 20 cases per day.
We are a Mission: Lifeline® Receiving Center, Joint Commission certified in chest pain, heart failure and stroke and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) for echocardiography and vascular testing.

Here’s what you need:
Education:
• Nursing Diploma required or
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience:
• One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse required or
• Completion of an RN residency required
• Current Cath Lab / EP Lab experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required and
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will:
• Practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
• The professional nurse exhibits:

-have basic computer skills using medical management application systems
What you will do:
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out
of hospital transfers
